यह कहानी दो अलग-अलग दुनियाओं के मिलन की है। एक तरफ है सान्वी, जो अपनी असल जिंदगी में एक बेहद खतरनाक, निडर और 'शैतान' स्वभाव की लड़की है। उसे नियमों से नफरत है और वह खतरों को अपनी उंगलियों पर नचाना जानती है। दूसरी तरफ है प्रांजल ठाकुर, जो एक मशहूर माफिया नोवल 'रक्त-वंश' की सबसे बड़ी विलेन है। प्रांजल का अंत बहुत बुरा होता है—वह अपने पति अध्वर्यु प्रताप सिंह की नफरत और अकेलेपन की वजह से ज़हर पीकर मर जाती है।
कहानी में मोड़ तब आता है जब सान्वी उस नोवल का आखिरी चैप्टर पढ़कर गुस्से में किताब फेंक देती है और उसी रात एक रहस्यमयी हादसे का शिकार हो जाती है। जब सान्वी की आँखें खुलती हैं, तो वह खुद को प्रांजल ठाकुर के शरीर में पाती है।
